food-grade RPET, into its lines of food packaging. Using this base RPET material created by Placon,
the company’s lines of food containers now address environmental concerns with no compromises in quality, safety, or durability.

EcoStar™ RPET, a multi-layer sheet with a virgin material outer layer for food contact and an inner layer (core) of recycled content, offers a minimum of 35% post-consumer content. The material provides retailers with a viable environmental solution while showcasing a wide variety of deli foods, bakery items and fresh produce.

Placon now uses EcoStar™ material for both the Fresh ‘n Clear™ and Crystal Seal® lines of food packaging.

Fresh ‘n Clear™, a hallmark of the Placon lineup, uses EcoStar™ material for its line of two-piece containers. Trays come in multiple sizes with separate lids – ideal for pre-assembled food kits, bakery items, or dry items. Bowls accommodate cold deli items, especially salads, salsas, and food products with liquids or sauces.

Similarly, Placon’s Crystal Seal® line – products featuring hinged, built-in lids – now uses EcoStar™ for its clarity, strength, and leak resistance.

Both Fresh ‘n Clear™ and Crystal Seal® offer common EcoStar™ benefits: exceptional strength to keep the contents secure, and stackability for attractive retail displays that maximize space. Both lines can also be embossed, imprinted or labeled to accommodate virtually any branding requirements.
